How a lesson works

Watch it. Get it. Play it.

Every lesson takes about five minutes and ends with something to try on the field. Each module finishes with a short exam.

  1. Watch the pros

See the idea in a real match. Short clips show how top players and keepers read the moment before they act.

  2. Answer quick checks

Simple questions and diagrams make you think like a player: where to stand, when to go, what to call.

The ball is near midfield and your defenders have pushed up high. Where should you be?

Well off your line, between the penalty spot and the edge of the box.
    Standing on your goal line.
  3. Take it to the field

Each lesson comes with a drill to practice what you learned. A ball is enough. A wall or a partner makes it easier.

FAQ

Questions, answered

The training plan

How long is the training plan?

Each program runs 36 weeks, with two short lessons a week. Lessons from earlier weeks stay in your Library. Want more? Ask your coach.

What are the weekly lessons?

Each week has two lessons of about 5 minutes and an on-field drill to practice what you learned. Each module ends with a short exam.

How are the lessons made?

Lessons follow our youth curriculum, built from national coaching manuals and reviewed by club coaches. There's a full plan for each age group from U-14 to U-19, and each year goes a layer deeper.

Do I need any special equipment?

Just a ball. Keepers should have gloves. A wall or a partner makes the drills easier.

Coaches and video sessions

What is a virtual coach?

A real coach who follows your progress in the app, gives feedback, assigns lessons and meets you on video.

Can my team's coach use Advantage?

Yes. Coaches create a team and share a team code. Players join with the code, and the coach sees their lessons, scores and who needs a nudge.

How long is a video session?

30 minutes. Bring a phone or laptop with a camera, a ball and a bit of space to move. Keepers, bring your gloves.

What if the session times don't work for me?

Message your coach in the app and they can suggest another time.

Parents

Can players under 13 join?

Not yet. Advantage is for players 13 and older right now. Players answer an age question before entering any details, and nothing is stored for anyone under 13. We're working on a version for younger players. Join the waitlist as a parent to hear when it's ready.

What age is Advantage for?

Players 13 and older, from U-14 through U-19 (high-school juniors and seniors), and the coaches and parents who work with them. A player's age group follows their birth year, and they can change it in the app.
